I cannot believe I’m writing this post right now. And next year, and the year after that, and ten years after that (yes, I’ll still be doing this!) I know I’ll say the exact same thing. But really, how have I been doing this for a whole year now?
WARNING: Cheesy emotional outpour ahead! Continue reading at your own risk.
I grew up in a family where amazing home-cooked meals were a regular thing. Sure, we got the occasional Sunday night Chinese food take out, but for the most part I was lucky enough to be raised by amazing women who cooked incredible food. It wasn’t until college that I discovered my love of cooking, AND my love of teaching. Fast forward to college graduation, I bought a surf board, moved to California and became an elementary school teacher.
I fulfilled my love of teaching by working in the classroom and tutoring for 6 years. Once I had kids of my own, almost 4 years ago, my classroom teaching career was put on hold and I quickly discovered the world of food blogging. THE WORLD OF FOOD BLOGGING!! Like, that’s a thing!! You mean, I get to cook, eat, AND teach all at the same time? I’m in.
So… On Monday, October 13th, 2014 I launched Life is but a Dish. And one year later, here I am! Still doing it!! Thanks to each and every single one of YOU I get to cook, eat, and share recipes as my job! It’s super dreamy. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for following along, reading my rambles, and sharing with friends. If I have inspired even just ONE person to get in the kitchen, then my job is more than totally worth it.
Please let me know what you would like to see more of on Life is but a Dish! It’s because of YOU that I am here!
