As a former first grade teacher, my superpower is breaking down information in a way that is easily consumable and approachable no matter your level. ⁣

No one taught me the basics. I learned how to cook from watching Ina Garten on the Food Network. She SHOWED me that cooking delicious food could be simple. ⁣

After 6 years of teaching elementary school, I began Life is but a Dish in 2014 with the sole purpose of teaching people how to get simple, delicious food on the table and bring the joy back to cooking. ⁣

As social media quickly evolved and video became king, I realized I could reach more people like you on a deeper level and SHOW them how to cook, rather than just post a recipe with a few photos.⁣
⁣
Blogs and cookbooks are great, but they can’t offer you the connection that comes with someone actually instructing you from start to finish. This is where confidence is built and ultimately where the magic happens. ⁣

Feeding ourselves is something we face every single day. It’s up to us how we approach it. Cooking is a basic life skill that you are completely capable of mastering, no matter how your past attempts have gone, or how busy you are.⁣
