There can never be enough lunch box inspiration posts in the world, am I right? It’s something we constantly struggle with, and there are a million different ideas and ways to keep packed lunches interesting and exciting. Today I’m gonna show you just a few lunches that my girls love, and I hope you find some inspiration from it!
Let’s start with the lunchbox, because I know you’ll ask. ???? I use PlanetBox, I have for 4+ years and we absolutely love them. They make packing lunch super easy, creates less waste, and makes food appealing to the eye when your kid opens it up! We eat with our eyes first, right?!
When I’m packing lunch I try to keep a few things in mind. I want a variety of colors, textures, and a mix of protein, carb, fruit/veg if possible. If I can accomplish this most of the time, I call it a success.
In this lunch I’ve got…
Mozzarella cheese balls, cucumbers dressed with a splash of red wine vinegar and sprinkled with Everything Bagel Seasoning, strawberries, hummus and Simply 7 Quinoa Curls for dipping. Oh, and I always send a little treat; these are little dye free chocolate candies.
I wanna talk about the curls for a minute…
They’re like, REALLY REALLY good. I’ve had many of the Simply 7 snacks before but these are my ultimate fave! I paired them with a little hummus for dipping and my girls went crazy for it.
Let’s say your kid is a sandwich lover. Throw a little turkey and cheese sandwich in there, maybe use a cookie cutter to keep it interesting, or slice it up and add a cute food pick? Anything to keep them excited and interested.
In this lunch I sliced up some carrot coins, grapes, some freeze dried strawberries and a little bit of the Simply 7 Lentil Chips. I love love love these as an alternate option to regular potato chips!
Behind door number three I’ve got some cottage cheese with sliced apples for dipping, fresh berries, edamame, Simply 7 Quinoa Chips and a few chocolate covered blueberries.
Again, keeping colors, textures and variety of food groups in mind, makes packing lunches a breeze and fun for you and your kids! I hope you found this post inspiring. I’d love to know some of your favorite things to pack for lunch, so leave a comment below!
