Description

With a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors from the combination of honey, molasses, ketchup, and ginger, this Honey Salmon Marinade is the perfect way to add lots of flavor to salmon. Made with easy-to-find ingredients and the ability to make a big batch for future use, this marinade will quickly become a household staple!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons minced shallot (about 1 large shallot)
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  •   cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup molasses
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients to a bowl and whisk until well combined. If you want a smooth texture feel free to blend the ingredients. Use immediately to marinate salmon for 30-45 minutes. If not using right away, store in the fridge in an airtight jar or container for 5-7 days or in the freezer for up to 6 months. Yields about 1 cup. Can easily double or triple the recipe to make more!
