My name is Laney, and I create easy, approachable recipes for the everyday home cook. Behind every recipe is me – a busy mom, home cook and girl who’s literally obsessed with food.
I’m here to make your kitchen life more exciting, less stressful and create dishes that will have your family and friends coming back for more (yes, even the kids!).

20 fast facts about Laney:
- I’m an east coast girl at heart, living on the west coast.
- Born and raised in Maryland, I now live in LA, CA with my husband, two daughters and our dog.
- I went to the University of Michigan where I played on the women’s soccer team. Go Blue!
- My husband and I met on the soccer field in a co-ed league here in LA, started dating in 2006, got married on New Year’s Eve 2008.
- I prefer sweats or workout clothes over anything else.
- I love bread, ice cream and cheese.
- My first choice for date night out is always sushi.
- I’ve never had a cup of coffee.
- My lifelong dream is to spend the day cooking with Ina Garten at her house in the Hamptons.
- My mom and I have the same birthday – January 31st.
- I have an extremely Type A personality.
- I love lifting weights.
- Elbows weird me out. Don’t ask.
- I’m super shy, until you get to know me.
- I’m really funny.
- I’m not religious but I’m deeply spiritual.
- My emotional intelligence is off the charts.
- Rainy days are my absolute FAVORITE.
- I was a first grade teacher. I was born to teach.
- If you invite me over to your house, I’ll probably make you a banana bread and look inside your fridge.
