Description

Lemony Sautéed Kale is a bright and easy side dish to add some color to your menu! Sweet, caramelized fennel with a pop of citrus makes this side dish a great go-to for any night of the week.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 bunch Lacinato kale, thinly sliced
  • 1 fennel bulb, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 lemon


Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium/high heat. Add the oil, fennel and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Cook for 5-7 minutes until fennel begins to soften, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add the kale and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the kale cooks down. Turn off the heat and squeeze over some fresh lemon juice. Serve as a side with chicken, fish, steak or eggs.
