    Kale & Peach Smoothie

    Heeeeeey Monday.

If I drink this smoothie, does that erase the giant burger, basket of fries, multiple milkshakes, and entire bag of chocolate chips that I ate this weekend?

    No?

Well I’m gonna drink it anyway.

kalepeachsmoothie-2My three year old daughter had her tonsils out last week.  Holy moly, that surgery is no joke!  I’m just glad we got it over with!  And, she’s doing great.

However, there were some very strict rules regarding her recovery.

Only soft foods.  Nothing hard, crunchy, crispy.  Nothing hot. Nothing spicy.  Nothing too citrusy.

This left me with a menu of yogurt, ice cream, popsicles, chicken, pasta, mac and cheese, jello, and smoothies.

    FOR TWO WEEKS!

kalepeachsmoothie-4One would think that a kid would be in heaven only eating ice cream and mac and cheese for weeks on end.  But trust me, it gets old. FAST.

I was dying to find a way to get some real solid nutrition in her healing little body.

And this smoothie was the ticket.

It’s great for a quick breakfast, or an afternoon pick me up.

But no, it won’t erase those fries.

    Sorry.
