It’s February!! Which gives me 14 days to cram in as many chocolatey, Valentine’s Day-ish recipes as humanly possible! I’m actually not a huge Valentine’s Day person. Mainly because by the time it comes, we’ve just celebrated all the holidays, our anniversary, my daughter’s birthday, my birthday, my mom’s birthday, my dog’s birthday (yes), and my husband’s birthday! We’re pretty burnt out in this house come February 14th. So, we get In-N-Out every year. It’s kinda our thaaaang.
BUT, it doesn’t mean I can’t make you lots of yumminess to try! Plus, any excuse to add chocolate to a recipe is a “yes please” in my book. In this case, I added chocolate to breakfast. I’m a grown up, I can.
I’m totally into smoothie bowls right now. They’re quick, easy, nutritious, and deeeeeeeelish. And this cherry flavored bowl with your favorite toppings is the perfect Valentine’s Day breakfast. You’re sweetie will love you for it.
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1 - 1 1/2 cups frozen cherries
- 1 small orange
- 2-3 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk
- 1/4 cup greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- Dried coconut strips
- Shaved dark chocolate
- 1) Add the banana, cherries, orange, almond milk, yogurt, and chia seeds to a blender. Blend for 1-2 minutes until smooth. Pour into a bowl and top with your favorite toppings!
