Grilled Cheese with Fig Butter and Apple
Oh, yes I did.
Ooey gooey grilled cheese. In. Your. Face. It would be perfect, dipped in this Tomato Rice Soup.
There are few things better in life if you ask me. I even went ahead and made this one a little fancy.
Layered with fig butter, two types of cheese, and crisp apple slices makes for a home run sandwich!
Honestly, there’s not much more to say. Can you believe I’m actually out of words?!
Just go make this right now. Do it.

You can thank me later.
It’s great as an appetizer and as a light dessert.
I grilled a sandwich using the hawaiian bread, then cut into quarters and that portion size suited each guest- so 2 sandwiches was 8 appetizers!
The first time I used it, I put on too much fig preserves – that flavor comes on strong if you use too much!
I think some Europeans use cheese and fruit for desserts – well, that’s exactly what this is!
It’s very quick and easy and you can make after your guests arrive.
